Remission of mesothelioma is possible?

Mesothelioma, even after decades of medical research, is one of the most aggressive and least treatable of all forms of cancer.

Nevertheless, very small percentage of patients in remission, others are part of Mesothelioma, and I can report cases of two, one anecdotal (but I have seen the films), and from the medical literature.

Dr. Demetrio Sodi Pallares, who lived from 1913 to 2003, was electrocardiologist in his time as the leader in the world. AProfessor at UCLA, Michigan, and Baylor medical schools, he was the author of twelve books and over 300 articles in medical journals.

In the 1960s, Dr. Sodi, as he preferred to be called, was on the faculty at Baylor Medical College with the pioneer of bypass surgery, Dr. Michael DeBakey. Competitive with DeBakey, Sodi, an alternative method "to avoid bypass surgery and does not require a minimal perfect medication.

During a bypass surgery is something that everyone knows allthe world, Dr. Sodi's glucose-insulin-potassium (GIK) infusion method was only considered valid by the American Heart Association recognized 53 years after he developed it, although it is used in 11 countries today. Dr. Sodi, of course, was encouraged to return to his native Mexico City at the age of 65. Dr. DeBakey is still on the faculty and 100 to 7 September 2008 from.

Back in Mexico, Dr. Sodi (to dismay of his wife) built a medical practice of his swimming pool and gardensand opened its doors to hopeless patients who had no money. One of his patients had mesothelioma.

Dr. Sodi was more or less learned by accident that successful treatment of heart disease sometimes causes a remission of cancer. the 1980s, a construction worker with mesothelioma, a no treatment was given exemption from the public hospital came in, after ordering labs and x-ray, Dr. Sodi put him on a three-step program:

Avoid all have salt andFoods preserved with salt.

Eat 10 portions of fruit and vegetables per day.

And make sure to take a nap of 3 hours 5 days a week,

The nap occurring a pulsating magnetic mattress of the type regularly back pain treatment today.

This is not the kind of therapy that would a medical school you get to keep assets after you can be reached 65 years. It was just that simple. Dr. Sodi fee? Zero.

I was a guest of the house of Dr. Sodi's about 15 yearslater. He showed me the movies of the decline and then disappear pleural effusions, and I was "on these and many other patients. What was striking about this man except that he was in the polluted environment of Mexico City function, that he had unusually rosy skin. It can, but nothing to do with forgiveness, but it was remarkable.

So, what should I expect someone will read this post to take away from my story?

Well, it's not the only storyout of remission. Others are scientifically documented.

While I had great confidence in the integrity of Dr. Sodi and still do, built a case study in a free clinic on an abandoned swimming pool in a medical front yard is not really to the level of scientific evidence increases.

But it is consistent with some knowledge on the prevention of mesothelioma I will be writing about in a later post. If 10 servings of fruits and vegetables a day is good, by the way thatdoes not mean 20 would be better. It is obviously an upper limit to the usefulness of nutrition in the prevention and, where appropriate, assist mesothelioma, as I discuss in a later post.

If all this evidence of response are found, I would not post. But the fact is, a carefully documented adoption of mesothelioma has been documented in medical literature.

Dr. Roger KA Allen of Wesley Medical Center in Brisbane, Australia, the case of a documented61-year-old woman with mesothelioma, the months went into remission within and has many years remained in remission. (You can find the full text of the publication "Apparent spontaneous complete regression of a multifocal malignant mesothelioma of the pleura, here.)

Dr. Allen notes that he treated over 600 patients mesothelioma and that there are multiple passes of the biopsy to ensure that the woman (1) had mesothelioma, and (2) it went into remissionwithout treatment.

By no treatment, Dr. Allen writes that there is no alternative medicine, no changes in the diet, and no prayer - but it seems unlikely he could really change for these variables. The Australian woman was in remission for five years, when the paper was published in 2007.

And there are also people who are in remission had not been Mesothelioma who have, but have lived a very long time. The Royal BromptonHospital in London reported a patient in remission for six years, mesothelioma, then had to cut out have a single tumor, and then lived for six years, twelve in total, and was still alive at the time the paper was published. (You can extract from the report can be read here.)

Mesothelioma is a serious disease, but it's not completely hopeless. Do not count yourself.
